エリニス (Erinys)

Erinys, the Greek Fury. A goddess of vengeance and guardian against unnatural crimes. She elopes with Teiresias in the wake of The Seven Against Thebes after Teiresias dies from the poisoned waters of lake Tilphussa. The two escape the underworld with Athena's guidance--subsequently living in a secluded paradise for a thousand years... until the Heavens comes crashing down.
With skin pitch black, like the night, eyes reflecting the abyss, and poisonous breath that flutters between arsenic and cyanide, the Furies were monsters to be feared. However, some Furies like Erinys hide amongst the masses by wrapping the Strings of Fate plucked from their victims around their bodies to create the illusion of flesh. Their skin is often pale as it lacks true life, but many have been known to adopt the flesh tones of whomever they have reaped the most. Anger any one of them, and they will rip off this facade--eyes pouring tears of blood and rows of razor sharp teeth ready to devour--to make their chase.
Most of the gods find the Furies repulsive or monstrous at the very least, but Athena wrapped themselves in Strings of their own to make her beloved sisters feel more welcomed in her abode after the trial of Orestes. Like them, her hair become a shimmering white, her skin porcelain and nearly lifeless... and the Furies loved her so.
So, if you find yourself unjustly murdered or fell prey to a monster, offer these glorious creatures their honey libations and seek their retribution. May the Furies weep for you, and may those who commit such horror weep between their jaws.
